Directions to Bargemusic’s new venue, the Boathouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park
The “Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse” is accessible by car or public transportation. The GPS address is "10 Montague St, Brooklyn, NY 11201." Please be aware that access to this little piece of Montague Street is only via Furman Street. Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights does not go through.
For drop-off by car: Montague Street off Furman (unfortunately there is no street sign for it) loops around a beige Brooklyn Bridge Park fan building. Your driver can turn in, follow the loop around the back of the building, and let you off on the south side. If you look uphill into the Park (facing south), you’ll see the Boathouse, accessible by stairs right by you, or by a ramp on the other side. The entrance to the hall is at the top of the stairs.

The Boathouse is set in the “uplands of Pier 5” (not on the river).
Subway transportation: a 15-minute walk down Joralemon Street toward the East River from the Borough Hall subway station. When you reach the Park’s walkway along the River, turn right to walk north along the river (river on your left), passing the line of blue umbrellas that dot the picnic pier, until you reach the Boathouse—built into the hill on your right.
The NYC Ferry’s South Brooklyn route serves Pier 6, also known as Atlantic Avenue/Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 6 Landing. Pier 6 is a short walk to the Boathouse. From Pier 6, walk north along the river as described above.
The Boathouse is about a ten-minute walk from Pier 1, where the Barge used to be moored. Walk south through the Park (river on your right) until you see the Boathouse on your left, just past the sandy beach and opposite the blue umbrellas of the picnic pier near Pier 5.
Parking near Brooklyn Bridge Park is limited. As of this writing, a “City Parking” paid parking garage is located near Pier 6, at 51 Bridge Park Dr, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201.
From the garage, walk to the Park Greenway by the river. Walk north along the river (river on your left) to the end of the line of blue umbrellas that dot the picnic pier. It’s about a 6-minute walk from the garage to the Boathouse—built into the hillside on your right.
There is very limited metered street parking available along Furman Street. Brooklyn Bridge gives the following information about it: “There are limited metered parking spaces in a public parking lot on Furman Street near Pier 2. The parking spaces are metered for both a minimum and a maximum of three hours. Please note that parking on the Loop Road (between Pier 5 and Pier 6) is not allowed, it is a drop off space only.”
